Commanding Officer
Capt Ken Fecteau
Capt Ken Fecteau first joined air cadets with 53 Squadron Summerside in 1971, then transferred to 533 Sabre Squadron in 1972.  He was the squadron Drum Major when he graduated in 1977.    
Shortly after leaving cadets, Capt Fecteau joined the regular Canadian Forces where he served in a variety of positions until his retirement from the Logistics Branch in 2000.  
Capt Fecteau returned to 533 squadron in 1998 as a volunteer and, following his retirement from the military, joined the Cadet Instructor Cadre (CIC) in 2000.  He immediately assumed an active roll in the Squadrons general training and range programs, and more recently has served as Supply officer and Administration Officer.  He was appointed to the position of Deputy Commander in June 2005. 
In February 2008 Capt Fecteau assumed the roll of Acting Commanding Officer during a temporary leave of absence by the CO.
On May 1, 2008 Capt Fecteau assumed the roll of Commanding Officer.

Training Officer
Capt Andrew Lejeune
Capt Lejeune has been involved with 533 squadron since 1995, first as a cadet, then as a volunteer and currently as a member of the Cadet Instructor Cadre (CIC).  Since the beginning of his time with 553, he has dedicated his cadet career to the band program, playing the trumpet in the Prairie Region Cadet Honour Band, the Winnipeg Tattoo, even performing for Royalty.

In his civilian life, he is currently completing his Masters of Education with a strong focus on educational assessment and program evaluation; specifically investigating youth programs and integrating technology into learning environments.

 

Assistant Training Officer
Lt Stephanie Armstrong
 
Lt Stephanie Armstrong joined 533 squadron in the spring of 2009.  Prior to this she worked as a level officer for 52 City of Calgary Squadron and as supply officer for 34 Sabre Squadron in Regina, SK. Currently, Lt Armstrong works as the Assistant Training Officer and Instructional Standards Officer. 
She enjoys mentoring the instructing cadets and is excited to see them grow and become excited about teaching.

 

Supply Officer
2Lt Katie Jackson
 
2Lt Katie Jackson has been involved with the Air Cadet Program for 9 years, first as a cadet, then as a volunteer and now in the CIC.  She completed her glider and power pilots license during her time as an air cadet and is currently a glider familiarization pilot at Edmonton Gliding Zone.  2Lt Jackson is the supply officer, ground school instructor and standards officer at 533 squadron. 
Aside from cadets, she is completing a nursing degree at the University of Alberta and is a member of the Edmonton Opera Chorus.

 

Band Instructor
Elizabeth Kreski
 
Elizabeth Kreski joined air cadets in 2003 and aged out in May 2010, with 533 St. Albert squadron.  She has been heavily involved in the cadet music training program since enrolling at 533 squadron.  Highlights of CI Kreski's musical proficiency include achieving her level 5 music qualification on the Alto Saxophone, the highest proficiency level that can be attained by a cadet.  She has also been selected to represent the squadron in the Cadet Honour Band of Prairie Region in numerous years.
Further, she has attended many cadet music courses during her summers, including basic, intermediate and senior band in Penhold and Service band in Cold Lake, where she was awarded a flight in a CT-155 Hawk as Top Service Band Cadet.  In 2008 and 2009 she was a staff cadet for the Service Band achieving the rank in 2009 of Warrant Officer Second Class.
Within the squadron, she was in the Drum Major position, and in her final year as an Air Cadet she was 533 Squadron's Warrant Officer First Class.
Currently, CI Kreski is the Band officer at 533 squadron. She holds a great deal of interest in the music program as well the entirety of the cadet program.
