Commanding Officer
Capt Ken Fecteau
|

Capt Ken Fecteau first joined air cadets with 53 Squadron Summerside in 1971, then transferred to 533 Sabre Squadron in 1972. He was the squadron Drum Major when he graduated in 1977.
Shortly after leaving cadets, Capt Fecteau joined the regular Canadian Forces where he served in a variety of positions until his retirement from the Logistics Branch in 2000.
Capt Fecteau returned to 533 squadron in 1998 as a volunteer and, following his retirement from the military, joined the Cadet
Instructor Cadre (CIC) in 2000. He immediately assumed an active roll
in the Squadrons general training and range programs, and more recently has served as Supply officer and Administration Officer. He was appointed to the position of Deputy Commander in June 2005.
In February 2008 Capt Fecteau
assumed the roll of Acting Commanding Officer during a temporary leave
of absence by the CO.
On May 1, 2008 Capt Fecteau
assumed the roll of Commanding Officer.

Lt Andrew Lejeune
|

Lt Lejeune has been
involved with 533 squadron since 1995, first as a cadet, then as a
civilian instructor and currently as a member of the Cadet Instructor
Cadre (CIC). Since the beginning of his time with 553, he has
dedicated his cadet career to the band program, playing the trumpet in
the Prairie Region Cadet Honour Band, the Winnipeg Tattoo, even
performing for Royalty.
Currently, Lt Lejeune is
the band officer and the Training officer at 533
squadron. In this capacity, he hopes to watch the cadets of 533 grow as
people, members of the squadron, and musicians. |
